Taz 3

I have a lot to write about because I have been a bit slack on writing the blog so I have decided to choose 1 photo from each place to write about.

First place that im writing about in my 3rd blog, the beautiful Barossa Valley. After we had spent most of the day driving from Winery to Winery we decided to change it up and go to Maggie Beers farm. It would be an understatement to say that the ice cream there was the best Ice cream I have tasted ever before. The farm itself was also stunning and buzzing with wildlife.

Flinders rangers was our next stop witch was in the middle of nowhere and consisted of a few nice rocks and a lot of emus and kangaroos. There wasn’t much to do apart from walk, which would have been much more enjoyable if it wasn’t 40 degrees.

Fowlers bay was the first place I had been to that provided me with no phone reception witch left me an unhappy camper. I did manage to crack a smile when the boys brought back some squid that got turned into calamari.

Wave rock was amazing, no photos can show how nice it actually looks. It just seems to pop up out of nowhere because there is nothing around it, pretty much nothing within a 100km radius of the rock actually.

Perth is beautiful beyond words and is by far my favourite city in the whole of Australia. Unlike last time, we went over to Rottnest island witch had amazing beaches and the worlds cutest animals. Quokkas are the cutest things and if I could I would have taken one home but I don’t think that was an option.

The killer cyclone that was meant to cause mass destruction in Jurian bay didn’t end up hitting us so the boys went fishing and I went jumping off the pier. It was great fun until a Blue Bottle Jellyfish decided to give me a nice sting along my neck.

I will try not to be as slack on my next blog. We are more than a month into our trip and I have finally started to stop thinking so much about home, I still miss everyone heaps though.

  1. Hi Taz, Great to read your reflections and to see the pictures that go with the experiences. A Blue Bottle jellyfish sting? Ouch!
Wave Rock looks amazing, but I know exactly what you mean about the pictures not doing it justice. It's impossible to capture Mother Nature in all her glory in a little box!
I hope the homesickness continues to settle down, remember everyone you care about will be there when you get back ... and they'll be s-u-p-e-r excited to see you!
Your description of the icecream at Maggie Beer's made my mouth water!
Hope you keep having lots of beautiful experiences.
    Lots of love,
    Aunty Liz and Dan. xx
