Ryley 4

When we arrived at Kallbarri we set up and then went down to the pool for a swim  The next morning we went to a pelican feeding thing which was okay and then we went to a National park which was pretty cool.  We were walking along the top of a gorge that had a huge flowing river in the middle.

The next day we went to an extraordinary bird aviary that had heaps of cool birds.  These were some of my favourites.

Our next stop was Monkey Mia.  There were emus everywhere and one had 3 babies which our neighbour who had a gock hit with a broom.  We all got to feed the dolphins at Monkey Mia which was pretty special.  We also took the zodiac out for a spin  where we saw 3 dugongs, 1 ray, 2 turtles, 3 eagle rays and a few sharks, we saw most of them when Taz, Dad and I went out. We also went fishing and caught heaps.

Fishing at Monkey Mia was good but we didn’t catch anything huge.  Taj caught a lot of little fish and 1 Cod and 1 Taylor. Dad caught a lot of little fish. Taz caught a few little fish and a reef fish. And I caught a lot of little fish and I helped a guy get a shark in.

The next day we went to a shark feeding place that had heaps of marine life and had a really good tour guide he had heaps of info and wasn’t boring to listen to.  I found it really interesting that if a sea snake bites you you’ve only got 5-10 minutes to live but they will only inject venom into something they want to eat. So they will rarely inject venom into a human.

Our next stop was Carnarvon where we met up with Sharon, David, Garith, Bianca, Rochelle, Collin and Marlee.  We went fishing at Carnarvan and caught heaps, the fishing was great. We had a really nice pub meal on our last day at Carnarvan.

Fishing at Carnarvan was great we caught heaps, Taj caught, 10 perch, 5 Moon fish , 1 other type of Perch and 1 Mulloway. Dad caught. 1 Bream.  Mum caught 1 Perch. Taz caught, around 10 Perch a Moon fish, a few Bream and 1 Spangled Emperor. I caught around 10 Perch, around 10 Moon fish, 1 Red Throat Emperor, 1 Sargent Major, 1 nice flatty that we kept, 1 Bream, 2 Striped Snapper (one was small and one was huge)  and 1 Whiting.  The fish I caught on a lure were both of my Striped Snapper, my Whiting and my Sargent Major.

Now were off to Coral Bay which will be good fishing and snorkelling.
