Ry 1

Our first stop was Halls Gap Lakeside. Halls Gap was fantastic it had a lot of wild animals like kangaroos, emus, many different birds, fish and echidnas.  On the first day when we got there Taj and I went for a walk and saw kangaroos and found a new fishing hole, you could see heaps of fish. Then on our way back to the caravan I spotted an echidna running across the road.  I told taj and we went for a quick run to where I saw it.  When we got there it was digging for ants so we got pretty close up it was pretty cool. then when the echidna moved on we saw that he had dug right into an ants nest and got lots of food for its self.

The next day we went for a walk to The Pinnacle which was really amazing.  The sights were awesome and I got a lot of good photos with my GoPro.  There were also a lot of animals like lizards and birds. Once we got to the top we could see our camp sites.  Taj, Mr. Don and I got there way before everyone else.

Here is one of the photos I took.

We also went to a zoo which we thought would only be little but turned out to be really big and one of my favourite zoos.  Tamsyn got to have an animal encounter with dingos and Taj and I picked meerkats for our encounter. There was a deer cage where you got to feed them and go in with them and they would follow you around.  Taj got bitten by one of the male deer.  When I was videoing a monkey it reached through its cage and grabbed my GoPro, he almost stole it, it was hilarious!  There was also a cheetah who was eying off these elk that were in the cage opposite. Taj and I had our encounter with the meerkats, they were super cute and had really soft fur. Taj also got bitten by a meerkat. At the walk through kangaroo enclosure guess what happened to Taj?  That’s right, he got bitten.  There was another monkey enclosure for the Capuchin and I got a video of him stealing my camera just like the spider monkeys had done.

On our last night dad and I went for a drive and saw 9 emus 2 of them were babies. On our last day at Halls Gap, Sunrise were there so we got on tv. There were three cuts Taj just missed the first and all of us got on the other two.

When we arrived at Mount Gambier it wasn’t great there wasn’t much to do. But later we went to the Blue Lake and is was just like the ocean it was so blue. Then we went to two sink holes. The first one was awesome there were possums everywhere. One of them peed on me. The other sink hole was deeper but didn’t have any animals.
